My Life in a Few Paragraphs
I was born and raised in Iran and left the country when I turned 23. My upbringing as a woman, in a country with complicated gender politics, has led to my interest in cultural topics such as gender, sexuality, and representation in media.
I lived in Seoul South Korea for nearly a decade until the anti-immigration regulations finally defeated my love for Korean culture and life. Since then I have been living in Melbourne, Australia, a country I had not given much consideration prior to moving to. But I have since fallen in love with the laid-back lifestyle and the respect Australia has for its citizens and residents, which is unlike anything I have experienced before.
My main passion in life is storytelling. I used to write speculative fiction until I realized visual storytelling is my true passion.
